Are you ready to release the weight of the world?
I have a new client who told me she feels like she’s carrying the “weight of the world. “As I’ve gathered surveys for One Size Fits None, many other women have similar views of their weight and body image.
That conversation, the women in my current One Size Fits None program, and the completed surveys have inspired me to make sure this program continues to achieve long-lasting results for both body and mind! So, here’s my question to you.
Have you stepped on the scale recently only to find that you’ve joined the ranks of the many who are battling Pandemic Pudge?
· You were a regular gym rat and, all of a sudden, no gym.
· The couch and Netflix became a new best friend.
· Eating to fuel your body was replaced with comfort foods.
· Sleeping habits changed with either too much of a good thing or not enough.
Perhaps you’ve resigned yourself to the idea “why bother.” I’ve got the weight of the world on my shoulders, and I’m carrying more than pandemic pudge.
Does this sound familiar? Truth be told, I’ve been right there with you. The pandemic disrupted my post-cancer workout routine and slowed down my progress to regain my precancer weight and strength. I may not have more than the pandemic pudge to lose, but I understand the path of “why bother.” I didn’t go through dis-ease without carrying the “weight of the world.”
It’s easy to get caught up in what’s causing the problem. However, you can change your perspective and get clear on what’s holding you back from releasing the “pandemic pudge” or the “weight of the world,” no matter if it’s 10, 20, or 100 plus pounds.
Life is too short to continue stepping on the scale and beating yourself up for whatever extra weight you carry.
